Environment

Your application will be deployed in an Argonaut environment hosted on your cloud account. An environment is an encapsulation of infrastructure and application deployments. Think: dev, staging, prod.

Create an environment on AWS

  1. Ensure that you've connected your AWS account with Argonaut.
  2. Click on Infrastructure in top nav bar.
  3. Click on Environments +.
  4. Choose Amazon Web Services.
  5. Give your environment a name.
  6. Choose your environment’s region. An environment's region can't be changed later.
  7. Click on Create Environment.

To check if the environment creation was successful, navigate to the Infrastructure page from the top nav bar, and look for your environment's name in the list.

Create an environment on GCP

  1. Ensure that you've connected your GCP account with Argonaut.
  2. Click on Infrastructure in top nav bar.
  3. Click on Environments +.
  4. Choose Google Cloud Platform.
  5. Choose your GCP Org from the dropdown.
  6. Choose your GCP project from the dropdown.
  7. Give your environment a name.
  8. Choose your environment’s region. An environment's region can't be changed later.
  9. Click on Create Environment.

To check if the environment creation was successful, navigate to the Infrastructure page from the top nav bar, and look for your environment's name in the list.
